We are extremely happy to announce the winner of the 2025 Mega Corazón Poetry Festival: Joyous Windrider!! Joyous submitted an array of incredibly introspective and experimental video poems that touched every single one of us here at URBAN-15 to the bottom of our hearts. We received an outpour of positive support for Joyous from many friends and family and we could not be more proud of her!

Joyous is a first time winner of the Gregg Barrios Precious Words Prize, and goes on to meet the ranks of past winners Amalia Ortiz (2021), Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson (2023), and Jessica Tilton (2022, 2024).
