Now in its third season, URBAN-15 is proud to present “Hidden Histories,” a monthly, magazine-format video series that pursues and preserves the stories, lives, and places that make San Antonio an inspiring cultural treasure. With the support of the San Antonio Film Commission, the San Antonio Area Foundation, and Humanities Texas, URBAN-15 has developed this project to ensure that we memorialize the histories of a region inhabited for over 10,000 years in a way that reflects their diversity and richness. Community-produced media is one way we can broaden and deepen public participation in official histories.

Over the course of 2020, Hidden Histories will be broadcasting monthly episodes online, free of charge. Each episode highlights archival interviews with community leaders; significant performances by musicians, dancers and poets; interactions with working artists; forgotten documentaries and narrative films; and vintage discussions of important community issues. These segments are supplemented by interviews with field experts from community and university alike.

All online screenings of Hidden Histories are free of charge.
