2017 marks the 14th annual Holiday Laser Show, a multimedia spectacular of choreographed laser beams, animation and light effects performed to holiday music favorites, including “Carol of the Bells,” “Feliz Navidad” and “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.” A family-oriented show with colorful 3-D animation and a stunning aerial beam display, the Holiday Laser Show is one the most exciting holiday celebrations in San Antonio!
On September 1, 2017, The URBAN-15 Group will begin accepting reservations from elementary schools in San Antonio and Bexar County for our four free student showings of the 2017 Holiday Laser Show.
These shows will take place at the beautiful Lila Cockrell Theater (200 E. Market St, San Antonio, TX 78205) on the following days/times:
- Monday, December 4th at 9:45am
- Monday, December 4th at 11:30am
- Tuesday, December 5th and 9:45am – SOLD OUT!
- Tuesday, December 5th at 11:30am
Admission is free, but schools will need to arrange their own transportation.
While the Holiday Laser Show presents an entertaining array of light, color, and sound, there are also numerous scientific and mathematical principles involved in creating this spectacle. In the past, we have been able to provide teachers with supplemental materials to add an educational component to the event, and to highlight links between science, math, and the arts via concepts such as refraction, reflection, angles, symmetry, magnification, and others. Many schools have also used the show as an incentive for perfect attendance.
To reserve a spot for your school, call URBAN-15 Studio at 210-736-1500 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information: school name, address, and phone number; principal’s name and email; contact’s name and email (if different from principal); date & time desired; and number of students. You can reserve up to 150 tickets, with additional tickets possible with confirmation of transportation.
Reservations will be taken from September 1 through November 3, 2017.
